Wonderful things do happen every season in Little League.

At Winston-Salem National Little League we remain dedicated to offering wonderful experiences to all players, parents and coaches.

Players from five years old through high school participate in seven divisions:  T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Minors, Majors, Juniors, Seniors, and Big League. The Challenger division offers mentally and physically challenged players the baseball experience. And, a recently added softball program provides expanded opportunities to young girls.

The WSNLL asks families to pay membership fees each season, however, scholarships are available for families who need them. The League never turns away any child for financial reasons.

These membership fees generally cover half of the League’s operating expenses including uniforms, field maintenance and umpires. Concession stand profits, the annual raffle fundraiser proceeds, and league, team and sign sponsorships cover the remainder of the operating expenses. 

Each year, the WSNLL has successfully covered operating expenses. However, annual revenue levels have not provided savings for capital improvements. We need your help and ask to please consider supporting our league by contributing to our efforts to constantly improve your child's experience at WSNLL. 

Here are a few ways to consider contributing today:

Gifts of Cash
Gifts of cash may be made either outright or as a multi-year. These gifts are fully deductible up to a maximum of 50% of the donor's adjusted gross income.

Gifts of Securities
Gifts of securities may be made either outright or as multi-year. Such gifts allow the donor to receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the security while avoiding both capital gains and alternative minimum taxes on the increased value of the security.

Gifts in Kind
The WSNLL will need equipment and building materials to complete the planned improvements. Generally, gifts by individuals of property are tax deductible at the fair market value or cost if less. Please contact Vince Scanlon at 922-1463 if you would like to discuss donating a gift in kind.

Volunteer
We are a volunteer only organization and we simply couldn’t manage without the many men and women who get it all done. Please consider being a league volunteer– whether a coach, team parent, concession worker, or just helping at the field– there are plenty of opportunities.
